    For 120 hours a week for a year straight. That’s basically living work. There’s no time for any personal life. The only saving grace in this is that some of the time was on call where they at least got a chance to sleep. I’m sure that one worker is planning on an early retirement.

    Good for them! Maybe if the UCP hired appropriately and treated nurses with respect we wouldn’t see this sort of thing.

    Overtime pay was originally supposed to be a penalty for the employer for not having enough employees. It should be cheaper to hire more people than pay overtime if this is not the case the overtime pay is too low.
