navi22 gang represent!
6750 GRE 12 GB*, which is basically overclocked 6700 XT.
6750 GRE 10 GB is the 6700 10 GB, which is closer to RX 6650 XT and slightly slower than 4060, but very close to it nontheless.
Breaking news
amd should of just named it the 6750 XL like they used to do in the past. It would be less confusing.
4060 is x50
4060 ti is x60
4070 is x60 ti
4070 ti is x70
4080 is x80
4090 is xTitan
6750 gre = ???
Higher tier old product beats lower tier new product news at 11. What’s tragic is the 4060 is really a 4050 but priced like what a 4060 ti should be priced at. That said $289 is a pretty good MSRP for this… too bad it’s china only
I think it’s compared to each other because the price is close. That’s why the 7800 XT is compared to the 4070, even though it’s “higher” tier. 4070 is still 50 to 100 USD more expensive.
I still don’t understand what’s the difference is between Gre and normal cards, and I can’t find anything about it online. Can someone please explain?
The GRE cards are literally a rebadge of existing parts with no changes in specification.
The card refresh progression:
- 6700 XT (12GB) --> rebadged into to a 6750 GRE 12GB
- 6700 (10GB) --> rebadged into the 6750 GRE 10GB
They’re both great value in many regions compared to the horse shit value RTX 40 series.
Not that the GRE GPUs have 12GB and 10GB in their names - they’re very different cards, so IMO
In other news, the 2080ti beats the 4060.
More shockers at 11
I’d argue that it’s even more insulting that the 6750 GRE significantly outperforms the brand new RX 7600 while costing basically the same. A refresh of an old AMD product handily beats their new product.
It’s also competitive against 7600. Interesting way to frame the headline
The cheapest 4060 right now is $290. For $310 you can get a 6700xt which is not only 20% faster but also has more vram.
Nvidia isn’t competitive in the mid range market at all right now. They are competitive in low end where the 3060 goes head to head with the 6600xt, and then the high end. At the $500 price point the 4070 beats the 7800xt in value, at $700 the 4070ti and the 7900xt being a tie, and at $1000 the 4080 beating the 7900xtx.
Amd is killing it at the $300 price point with the 6700xt crushing the 4060, and at $400 the 6800 crushing the 4060ti
The RTX 4080 is not selling for $1000, it’s still north of $1100, and the 7900 XTX is down closer to the $920-$950 range.
