Not surprised, as long as he is driving like he is I don’t see Aston doing anything with his set. He may not be the best on the grid anymore but that finish in San Palo really showed that he has a level of experience that is hard to replace
At this point he is guaranteed quality. A very safe bet compared to hiring a rookie.
