It’s wild that Dread was both announced and subsequently released before we got any other bit of news on this one.

I’m hopeful~ The success of the Metroid Prime remaster should show Nintendo that people want this series… once it gets out of development hell, anyways.

Same, I think between Dread showing huge Metroid hype in general and the remaster showing interest in the Prime series, Nintendo must know that fans are starving for this thing.

The development scrapping and resetting was tough to hear, but hopefully it’ll be well worth the wait.

It’s crazy because they could have easily kept pumping out Prime games back then by having Retro focus on it exclusively and made tons of money from it.

they did say they were working on ES6 but they also did explicitly say that the real work on the game wouldn’t begin until after Starfield shipped. i’ as anxious for the next ES game as the next guy but they did at least let us know it was going to be a while.

Now, the real question is: How many years after Metroid Prime 4’s release before people demand an “hd” remake?

Since most of these demands are from youths, and The distance between 8th grade and college is 5 years, so I predict 5 years after release.

Can’t believe I bought a Switch with the expectation I’d be playing MP4 on it and here we are in 2023…

That would be my guess. With the rate Nintendo has slowed down 1st party games coming out, they’re most likely aiming for having a strong launch offering for a new system.
