  • Disgusting.

This isn’t about being diverse. It’s about making bad games.

As a matter of fact, the new assassin’s Creed is so offensive that the Japanese government is in an uproar about it.

Ubisofts attempt to be so inclusive and sexually neutral is what’s making their games bad because they’re stifling good game design in the process.

That’s not to say that it’s not possible to make a good game while adhering to diversification and inclusion.

Hellblade and horizon zero Dawn are two excellent examples of incredibly good games that don’t expound sexism. Hell, look at destiny 2. They handle these kinds of situations perfectly!

But to simply imply people are upset because they don’t like “woke politics” is a gross over simplification of what’s happening to Ubisoft!

  • Kinda in the same vein: I was taking an emergency dump at a Walmart. There was a person in the stall next to me taking a dump as well.

Some time passes and a Walmart employee knocks and says “maintenance, any one in here?” And before I can respond the guy next to me let’s out a massive loud as hell fart and the walmart employee without missing a beat says “take your time”.

  • I’ve always grouped gamers into two factions.

Form over function and function over form.

Personally, I prefer low mechanics to great graphics. My friend on the other hand could care less what the graphics look like as long as the mechanics are sound.

I would assume for most gamers since most people aren’t really into dissecting the mechanics of video games like really strong graphics.

Which is why most AAA titles have really good graphics with very simple mechanics. There are of course exceptions to the rule.
