AI companies are swiftly running into a massive problem: there isn't enough data on the internet to train the next generation of models.

Absolutely. The goal was never to make anything useful. It was to scare off unionization with threats of automation and (if it DID produce functioning AI) to make good on those threats in the cruelest and most sadistic ways.
