Nice! My first night was a decent rain too, I like the sound of rain on the tarp.

So far I really like it! Or at least I like the idea of it. I love not having to roll up a heavy dirty wet tent. And it feels pretty comfortable to sleep, if a bit confined.

The problem is that I’ve done three nights now, and each night has been down in the high 20s low 30s fahrenheit. I’ve been warm enough, but just barely. My top and underquilt are only rated for 40, so I’m sure I’d be warmer if I had better gear or if it were just a little warmer. So it’s hard to say how comfortable I could actually be. My buddy on this trip was in a tent with a 20 degree bag and he was cold too, so it’s possible that it was just bad conditions.

The other problem is that I’m 6 foot 1, and my hammock is only 8 foot. Everything I’ve read says I’d be better off with a 9 or 10 foot hammock, but I’m not ready to spend even more money just yet.
