    Japanese workers don’t really quit in general from what I’ve heard and essentially get threatened with being unable to get another job with the implication that everything else in the field will either have the same problems or bad references you didn’t even ask for from the job you are leaving. One of my friends came to Canada because his dad was chased out of his secondary line of work in Japan after his inherited small grocery shop was put out of business by supermarkets moving in to the area.
