Male Eastern Screech-Owl in the moonlight. Seriously, only moonlight, 2.5 second exposure. Dane County, WI 2024-04-23, 3:00 am.

How does anyone in Wisconsin sleep if that’s the moon at 3am??? 😧

    Wait, this was a moonlight picture!? That’s nuts. I would need super blackout shades, I’m super light sensitive.

      I didn’t know you could get that much light even with a longer exposure. I don’t know much about photography, but it sounded impressive to me.

        Well yes. There’s a reason I’m just tired all the time lol.

        But yeah, even with night vision or whatever equivalent it is this is close to pretty much being a day time picture. There’s none of the usual night picture markers.
