    With how my city (barely meets the definition of a city. It’s very rural) was planned, It would be a 30+ minute ride to just get groceries. And it’s 104 every day right now. I would probably die if I didn’t have a car.

    Of course, that’s the problem that these communities are trying to address. Though in the summer, I would probably still drive even if things were walking distance, just because of how fucking hot it is here.

      You have to remember the fuck cars crowd lives in temperate dense cities and rarely leaves the area for anything rural. They just want everyone to have their preferred lifestyle.

        Damn straight we do. Not to force on people but to give everyone these advantages. OP should not have to go so far to get groceries, there should be closer options. A $30K prosthesis shouldn’t be a requirement for life.
