If Damaris’ question was meant as an honest inquiry then they probably wouldn’t have started off by stating what they think roads are for followed by ‘In this video who is carrying good & products into stores & home?’ This seems a rhetorical question to me. Damaris is levying criticism to the concept of infrastructure built for bicycles if you ask me.
This would be akin to smugly stating ‘Computers are meant to be fed bytes by inserting paper, where in this video is paper being fed into anything?’
I think you’re trying to be understanding to someone who has made up their mind a long time ago. I agree that if we’re going to change the way people see infrastructure we should be patient and understanding but that doesn’t mean we should be accommodating the willfully ignorant.
