I remember being on the CityLink from the east once approaching the burnely tunnel and they closed every single lane into the leftmost one, opened it up, then closed every single lane into the rightmost one. So it went 80, 60, right lane closed, 40, middle lane closed, 100, 80, 60, left lane closed, 40, middle lane closed, then back to 100.
