minus-square@mindbleachlinkEnglish1•19 days agoFrench has a shitload of rules and follows them 90% of the time. English has every few rules and follows them 10% of the time. About once a century someone tries to correct this and their partial success creates additional exceptions.
As a French Canadian moving from Quebec to Ontario, that struggle was real.
