In Souls-like games, pressing the ‘dodge’ button when on a narrow platform is a very easy way to accidentally jump off the platform and die horribly.

What controllers use X for the dodge button? Even with over 2k hours in From Software games combined this joke didn’t register with me lol

What monster plays a fromsoft game on kb/m? That sounds like the most miserable experience.

I preferred it. Some people are more used to rapid movement types from a controller more than keyboard and mouse. I do use keyboard and mouse for some games, but for ones with this kinda feel in the way camera and moves work, I prefer controller. Monster Hunter is another I prefer controller on, as is FFXIV. Horizon Zero Dawn also.

Stuff like Mass Effect, Ark, Enshrouded, Deep rock, helldivers, dark tide are all mouse and keyboard.

People have different preferences and different muscle memory.

I think I like Hades more on controller too.

I prefer controller in just about anything I can use it in. Comfort is king when gaming.

Crap, I read your comment backwards and thought you meant who the hell doesn’t use kb/m. Hehe, ignore it. I’m very team controller.

Pretty sure keyboards use spacebar for roll. Also PC’s can use controllers, and you should if playing a Souls game.

It’s usually pressed with a move command to make you dodge roll, but if you are stationary it makes you take a step back for whatever reason.
