Donald Trump appeared to be the target of an assassination attempt as he spoke during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, law enforcement officials said. The former president, his ear covered in blood, was quickly pulled away by Secret Service agents and his campaign said he was "fine."
I’m not ready to encourage this because anybody can get pissed off for any reason. There is very little that a politician does that makes everybody happy.
Remember: Hitler was not a fictional character. Sometimes, you get Hitler. If you want to wag a finger at the many people who tried to kill Hitler, then by all means, scoff at the idea of anyone ever using violence. Otherwise we have to reason about it.

Forget about pleasing everybody. How about having policies that please >50% of people? With no gerrymandering or electoral college
