minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink4•2 months agoHuh, TIL. On reading about them, shark denticles primarily consist of dentin. Denticles are as close to teeth as baleen are to hair, I suppose. I guess we could dig around and find more surprisingly logical answers to OPs question. (Still, a shark or a whale is a decent choice.)
