    There’s no good reason for it. The DNC is not going to put forth a better candidate in terms of policy, and no one else can have the incumbent advantage.

    No one is more likely to beat Trump. We’re not going to get better policy.

    You can tell because AOC and Bernie endorsed him; trust your political allies on this.

      Man, they’re trying to keep up party unity. Speaking out in public with anything except support for a candidate is inevitably read as opposition - the only two choices when talking on the subject are “I am behind [candidate] 100%” or a total Hail Mary “He needs to step down”. And the progressives are in the worst position to make such a demand - if they did, they would inevitably be accused of not being ‘team players’ and ostracized within the party, even if Biden does step down.

        According to the polls, which are simultaneously unreliable and our best metric for this, Kamala is the best person to replace him. I’m not the only one who’d vote for Biden if he were on life support and I knew he’d die in the first week.
