Why would a moped need to go 55mph?
Don’t a lot of mopeds top out around mid-50s?
I guess it depends what we mean by moped.
In the UK a moped can be a max of 50cc (or equivalent), with a max speed of 30mph.
Scooter’s are Vespas, etc, anything you can step through and put a load of mirrors on while wearing a parka, and have no engine size or speed restriction.
Motorbikes are motorbikes.
Looks like I was mistaken, they max out at 30 in the states too apparently. I must have been conflating them with scooters.
