All good things must come to an end. I've decided to end the Funtoo Linux project. Funtoo started as a philosophy to create a fun community of contributors building something great together. For me, it's no longer that so I need to move on to other things. There is not a successor BDFL for Funtoo...
Funtoo did came up with interesting concepts to improve Gentoo with. I hope they get to live on.
Do you have examples?
Did they not have a way of installing binaries more easily? I could be confusing it with another derivate of Gentoo.
Anyway, Gentoo has now a binary repo to speed up updates for some packages. No need to try NixOS or Gentoo forks anymore. (:
