It‘s nothing compared to Keaton‘s collection but at least something. 5 Radium alarm clocks, 3 Promethium alarm clocks, 2 Radium watches and 4 Radium watch hands, of which one is in a acrylic display case. Sorry for the bad pictures.

This is a really neat! I don’t know much about radium watches, so I have to ask, are any of these dangerous with continuous exposure? Do collectors need to take precautions?

It depends on how radioactive it is and if the radium paint is crumbling. The biggest dangers are them emitting radon (a radioactive noble gas that is part of the Radium decay chain) and paint that is crumbling of. One of the watch hands leaves quite a bit of the paint everywhere it was. Most clocks and watches I have don‘t leak any but loose watch hands do. Wearing Radium watches can be pretty safe to wear if the watch isn‘t too active. I have done it a few times before, but I wouldn‘t wear it everyday for many years.
