When a ton of new immigrant children comes into a new school district it puts a large strain on the teachers. I mean there are things they could have chosen, but pets being eaten? Really? How exactly did they choose that? Put up random crazy things on a wall and throw darts?

With so many narratives they could have chosen:
When a ton of immigrants come in it puts a strain on the social welfare system.
When a ton of new immigrant children comes into a new school district it puts a large strain on the teachers.
I mean there are things they could have chosen, but pets being eaten? Really? How exactly did they choose that?
Put up random crazy things on a wall and throw darts?
Because you don’t want your voters to have to think about nuanced issues. You want them to react with pure emotion.
