I went looking for a fun case to house a RP 5 for a RetroPie build but everything was either super minimal or just very unattractive to look at.

This is my lovechild of a NES with a Famicom Twin

I designed this to be a bit bigger, take a standard 12mm switch, house an RP 5, and a convenient power button. I also added a standard 40mm exhaust fan hole.

I designed this to fit a hat as well but I haven’t tested it.

I’ll happily share the STLs if anyone is interested. I am working on posting to Thingiverse now.

It looks like this should fit any model Pi but naturally YMMV.

Very cool! Things look a little breezy around the ports. My constructive criticism would be to tighten that up a bit.

I wanted to leave it open so it’s more universal in what can be fitted in there but I may make a revision in the future that is more model specific if I end up printing another one for a 5.

You could always just do a plate that’s customized to the SBC layout, like what you’d get with a PC motherboard.

I actually started working on the next revision that will have 4 USB-A ports in a panel via extension cables so the pi used is irrelevant AND it will look much more slick.

That’s not a bad idea! I may add that to the thingi as soon as I can post.
