    I have a tortie whose brain short circuits when you’re scratching her and so she’ll just kind of chomp whatever or whoever is nearby.

        I think it’s a tortie thing. We had another tortie years earlier who did the same thing.

          Sometimes when we pet ours, she’ll switch between licking and biting

          It’s like she’s trying to be sweet and groom us, but just can’t resist the temptation for violence

            they might be getting overstimulated, a general sign for that is if the tail starts moving faster and faster while petting them.

      there are different kinds of bites, if it doesn’t really hurt then it’s probably just an “i love you but stop it.” bite or them being playful, if they want to hurt you they’ll make it very clear.
