@Rekorse@BlushedPotatoPlayers Meh. More on colonialism and its impact. After Salah posted a pic at the British museum of a statue removed from Egypt. Just realized A) Mohamed Salah posted that shit last year and B) it was taken during the Ottoman rule of Egypt which kind of answers most of the questions I had. Some had said it had been paid for etc… it was relatively war torn as the Turks, French, and Brits had all been having a field day. Turks for quite a while.
Interesting, that does complicate the question of where to return some of these items. Maybe museums should be limited to representing the local regions history.
Is there some sort of debate about the origin of museum pieces thats been going on?
