    If you read their other posts, they’re against huge corporations and for a planned economy, so they agree with leftists and just don’t know it.

      “Lets give everyone medicare and break up Google and subsidize manufacturing” is hardly a planned economy. The most extreme dont wanna go anywhere past the Nordics, and we’re the richest country in the world- we could easily afford it. The only place youll meet legit planned-economy advocates, because not even all Socialists fit that descriptor, is lemmy.ml and similar forums

        Sure but it’s still generally a leftist position, even if it’s not a common or popular one.

          But none of the actual politicians are advocating anything like that, it isnt gonna happen. And its no good reason to not aim for those more rational policies I mentioned
