US officials believe Chinese hackers breached at least eight US telecommunications providers in their quest to spy on top US political figures as part of a hacking campaign that has affected dozens of countries worldwide, a White House official said Wednesday.
The article is kinda useless. The one linked in the post doesn’t actually list any of the providers compromised. Following another link in the post only lists 3: AT&T, Verizon, and one I’ve not heard of called Lumen. That one also states that the government didn’t even do anything until December 4th (a couple days ago) due to then being on recess. Such a HUGE problem and our government couldn’t even convene to deal with it. How infuriating.
