I hate when my brain sees “hmm we’re low on water and food, what shall I do?”
and instead of making me hungry and thirsty it just goes “I know! I’m going to activate the ‘pain-o-matic 9000!’” and gives me a headache

I have this little habit I programmed in my brain

When I feel irritated, anxious, or uncomfortable, I go through a checklist.

Is there a direct reason I’m feeling this emotion? If yes, continue. Otherwise…

Do I feel hot? Am I thirsty? Am I too cold? Is there a bad/annoying smell? Have I been sitting still too long?Am I sick, or sleep terribly? Is my brain chemistry just off today?

Usually I get up and walk, and occasionally I remember to actually get some water or turn on a fan… But more often than not, I’m just too hot and my brain didn’t bother to tell me

oh my God, the number of times I’ve been really pissed off for no reason only to realize it’s because the shitty baseboard heater suddenly decided to crank the fuck out of itself and I’m just melting fuckin hot after getting up and feeling that my back is wet…

why does my body suck at noticing that sometimes?

And on that note, why the fuck do modern thermostats not take humidity into account or let you set them to at least half degrees F? It’s really simple math, and should be easy to do with the existing hardware, plus a couple cents for a humidity sensor if they don’t already have one they’re not using

But no, we get touchscreens, custom backgrounds, an app to manage it remotely, the ability to schedules and beep when you press the button…but I can think of no reason why they wouldn’t do simple things to make them more comfortable

Dehydration, hypoglycemia, caffeine withdrawal, stress, exhaustion, and so many other causes.

probably? I just googled it and that seems correct, I also match the other symptoms like being dizzy too, but I assumed that was because of iron in my blood or something because my sister gets that. I usually don’t eat food until like 4PM on days that I have school which is most likely the issue 😅
I will probably have to start eating breakfast now and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for telling me, I’m excited to see if it makes a difference 🤗

Be careful with that. You can give yourself hypoglycemic reactions that will result in long term hypoglycemia if you don’t eat enough. I certainly seem to have done that
