furiosa was awful. And this is probably the reason:

Jackson said that Furiosa “leans much more heavily [than Fury Road] on visual effects” and that Miller “completely embraced the idea that CG is the way to go to build worlds and do whatever we need to do in post”.

Ew… Does that mean Furiosa doesn’t have all the dope ass practical effects like Fury Road? I haven’t seen it yet, but this makes me not really want to…

Does saying this in Fuck Cars make me evil? All that gasoline and fire certainly isn’t helping things not become like the movie… 🤔

Mad Max became a cheap imitation of itself :(

like most of the franchises that go on for too long.

As I said above, there are a ton of practical effects and real stunts. You can tell the difference if you’re watching for it.

You can clearly tell the difference between the real stunts, of which there are a ton, and the CG stuff.

yes, and that’s the problem. We shouldn’t be able to do that.

There was plenty of CG in Fury Road too. I mean it was a 3D movie. I just think the people doing stunts for these movies and for John wick are amazing and make it worth the watch even if you hate the story, which I did not.

I may be a bit biased. I wanted to be a stuntman since I was a little boy.

3D doesn’t require any CG. It just requires filming with 2 cameras or polarized lenses the correct distance to mimic our eyes’ offsets.
