This is your dad on Facebook. Thanks for clarifying his age classification in the headline as if it was the cause of his bigotry. Really great content we’re putting out here Lemmy.

I’m a millennial and I think it’s fine. We need to stop acting like it’s only boomers doing this shit.

Just say you’re middle aged and this offends you instead of bitching about the entire platform.

Our generation has a LOT to own up to that we pass on to Gen X and the Boomers.

yeah. I mean I get the boomer thing but likely any of the other generations would have done the same. When it comes down to it the last generation to have experienced a general decline in propserity before X is the greatest generation as some of them experience the 20’s. Someone in a comment summed it up pretty well by saying something like X got a taste, millenials got to see it, and Z never even saw it. Despite that we all have assholes and great people. There actually were many boomer hippies that never sold out but they were not the ones running corporations although in some cases they may have held political office. For myself I do not know any sincere individuals who went way right but the ones I know who have tended to follow the crowd and in college left leaning was popular. Heck the college folks who sincerely were conservative that I knew seem to more often woken up in modern times from folks I knew. Like the ones who could actually debate intelligently.

In the US, many would likely presume Boomer. So it is context against that normal expectation due to stereotypes.
