Yeah, multiple “duplicates” are definitely beneficial to ensure long-term survival of communities, but unless every post and comment is mirrored across instances, content will always be lost whenever a server ceases to exist.
Is there an established Lemmy etiquette for what should be done in the cases of communities fragmented across multiple instances? Post to all instances? Just the largest? Just the smallest? Pick one at random and cross-post to others?
