Micah 6:6-8 NIV

With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

I meant it. Not concerned by it being seen. I’m not a pure man, not even a good one. Go take a look at my post and comment history. I’m not hiding. I cuss a lot, sometimes at children. I know myself. I’m not pretending.

I deleted it because I didn’t want to offend my brothers, who might not want to see me use that language. It’s certainly not good, but by believing, by faith alone, I’ve been given the righteousness of Christ, and he’s taken my sin. I don’t use that as a licence for sin, but I also don’t worry if I mess up.

But yes, when the Bible tells you that God wants you to do justice, and love mercy, and walk humbly, and you respond with God wants “Deez nuts?”

You have fucked around. I hope you don’t find out, but it seems you may.
