I have s dilemma when it comes to some brands.

For example Kraft or Scott paper are American companies. That means any profits go to the U.S.

However, their products are manufactured in Canada with canadian resources. Therefore helping the local economy and creating jobs.

Should we buy from them or no?

I world lean towards no, because in the end it profits americans. Especially when there are local alternatives for things like peanut butter, Cheez Whiz, and it’s not like mac n cheese is really that hard to make. There are also local paper brands. But I’m still worried this could end in job losses and have an impact on the economy.

EDIT: I should also add that we’re still being screwed royally by Canadian corporations still, like our large grocery chains, telecom and others. I think it’s still worth to boycott them. That means we really need to focus on the very local businesses. They may cost more, but I think in the end we’re definitely all going to be winners from doing that.
