Welcome to the Vegan Theory Club Weekly Megathread!
Questions of the week: (Feel free to answer one, both, neither, or posit your own!):
- What is a recent piece of media you’ve enjoyed lately? (e.g. books, art, games, music)
- Did you discover tofu after becoming vegan? how long did it take?
Feel free to talk about anything, whether it’s vegan-related or not. This is a chill space for connecting, sharing ideas, and supporting each other; however, please keep in mind: vegans only, and we abide by the Anarchist Code of Conduct.
Be kind to all Earthlings! 🌱💙
Otherwise, it was quite a good story. Maybe a bit predictable at times, but well executed enough to more than make up for it. The characters are interesting, and the pacing is fantastic. It has solidly enjoyable stealth mechanics, although the enemy AI is unrealistically oblivious at times, making it a bit easier than it probably should’ve been in places.
One thing I really liked was that the mild “horror” elements really aimed at tension, instead of any jump scares. The scary bits are well telegraphed so you’re not particularly surprised when they come.
I did discover tofu scrambles after I went vegan, though. Maybe 2 years in? Now it’s one of my favourite breakfasts to have on some toast with some diced green onion. Yum.
