Demo flight of the Spectrum rocket towards LEO, without any payload.
On-time liftoff of Spectrum at 10:30 UTC. Around T+18 seconds, the vehicle did a somersault, and the engines went out shortly after.
The launch pad is intact, though only narrowly.
The flight termination system was apparently validated seconds,
though I can’t see any signs of this in the above drone footage. Edit: Smallsat launcher FTS often don’t use explosive, but just shut off the engines.Best of luck for the next flight!
