Maybe that City anticipation is West Ham trying to get us to raise our fee.
This is exactly what it looks like. West Ham are trying to get the maximum price from us. City are probably still working on getting Gundogan to re-sign with them.
I know City spend a lot, but I don’t think they often get into bidding wars and spend £100m+, do they?
