Europeans would show up and my Native American homies would be armed with cartridge rifles, six shooters and a crank rotary machine gun.

I would try for better, but I think there just wouldn’t be the time for fine tooling more advanced fire arms would require. Even getting all that going before I croak is going to take a lot of ambition.

Also assuming they don’t think I am some evil spirit that they quickly kill when I demand industrial metal facilities be constructed.

Oh, they would probably also have penicillin before the white man, so that would be a major advantage.

If you’ve watched any Primitive Technology then you can potentially wow them with metal implements, and talk up what’s possible when their clay-firing industry is more than A Guy.

At the very least get them some armor-defeating crossbows.

I think it really would hinge on how much you could convince them. You need a shit load of labor to even extract materials, not even talking about processing and manufacturing. I mean ideally you would start off by getting as many interested smart teenagers to help be engineers, because even just engineering everything needed would take more manpower than one person over one half lifetime.

Need to make sure the work lives on if you die early from an infection or something else that modern medicine would have prevented.

I also agree that you will have to build up with some unrelated tools and products along the way, things that will be so useful that it would be too painful for them to abandon the level of industry required for the momentum. Need to pay all those people to work before you get cool guns.

Again, if you can demonstrate metallurgy in petit form, you’d have people’s attention. You don’t start with a lathe. You turn downstream river dirt and a pipe-blowtorch into a finer knife than they’ve ever seen, and the local blacksmith’s gonna ask what’s up.
