What have folks been up to this past week?

I finally had the opportunity to unbox some puzzles I’d ordered a few months back. Tried out my first clocks, a Shengshou and a QiYi magnetic one. Never tried clock before, but I managed to work out a solution within an hour or so. At least, I think I have a solution. Perhaps there are some rare difficult cases I have not encountered which are lying in wait for me…

In terms of puzzle performance, the QiYi is definitely superior to the Shengshou. The QiYi’s magnetic alignment makes for smoother turning than the Shengshou’s mechanical alignment, and the overall build quality seems better.

How are you enjoying clock? The only reason I decided to buy one was because I was waiting around during a comp between rounds and this guy sat at the table I was at with a bunch of puzzles. I asked him about clock and he said beginner’s is really simple and just taught be the concept right there and there. I’m still quite slow on it but I love that I can just solve a new puzzle that quickly.
