It sounds great in theory but it’s hard to imagine it working out that way in practice. I can’t help but suspect that senior uni staff rather like the world the way it is, prejudice and all. If types of output that are not currently valued became important, they would just appropriate that work, and there would be nothing the actual do-ers could do about it.
