I’ve never played any of the Diablos, or met anyone who has. But they are obviously popular for a reason. Are they worth going back to the first one?

Diablo 1 is amazing. So dark and twisted. None of the sequels managed to replicate the original mood as well, in my opinion. It’s still perfectly playable today if you’re even just a little bit used to older games. I actually enjoy its slower pace much more.
