Brothers Jon and Bullet Jalosjos, both top executives of Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE), revealed they discovered some “questionable” findings in the expenditures of the long-running noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!”

In an interview with Pep.ph last June 7, the Jalosjos brothers shared information about the financial stability of “Eat Bulaga!” amid the depature of several employees from TAPE which began with hosting trio Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.

Jon, who was TAPE’s chairman and now president, said that while both TAPE and “Eat Bulaga!” were stable, the brothers were concerned about discrepancies in the show’s expenditure.

Among these discrepancies were one “Eat Bulaga!” employee asking for a cash advance worth P15 million for their advanced retirement despite said person not yet of retirement age. Jon declined to give a name due to legal reasons.

Bullet, TAPE’s chief financial officer, noted that the request was to be done in one go, and Jon added that amount was just the smallest discrepancy they found.

Such incidents were among the primary reasons why the brothers decided to be more active members of TAPE which is 75% owned by their father Romy Jalosjos and the remaining 25% by Tony Tuviera.

Syempre naninira. Kailangan nila ituro sa iba ang mga pagkakamali nila.

Mayor sya diba? Bat di muna niya gawin yon.
