    It’s always cool to see ML going back to the well of biological inspiration. I don’t think there’s any reason that machine have to think or learn the same way we do, but nature has had some good ideas.

      Yeah, a lot of really efficient configurations evolved through natural selection, so it makes sense to study how nature works for inspiration.

        Exactly, yeah. Neutral networks don’t work exactly line organic brains but that’s the inspiration that researched started working from. Then again later, CNNs we’re meant to mimic cluster of optical neurons. This research you’ve posted sounds like a very reasonable step on the same path.
