They will need to learn to adapt to the job market changes. I am not opposed to a UBI and VAT. Unions are disruptive though and cause people who want to work to not be able to. They have their own internal politics and corruption and essentially force people to pay an overhead cost to enter an industry via dues. If you want unions to exist, then they should be bound by a set of rules as well. Negotiations can’t stall for months. Shows are just going to start to be written by their producers and really have the writers breaking the picket line, but remaining incognito ghost writers.
