Bla bla bla. The time for words is long over. I want to see governments getting their shit together and actually do something rather than writing fancy letters.
Several of the signers are in fact doing a fair bit. (eg: the Inflation Reduction Act in the US, the big heat pump install happening in Europe, the ban on new coal-burning power plants in India)
It’s not enough yet, but it’s starting to look like a serious attempt.
You are right, of course they are doing things. But as you said, it’s not even close to being enough. And I know in politics one must find compromises etc, I also understand times are rough with crisis and wars and whatnot.
Meanwhile scientists are “shouting” we have to get together, now, everybody, full effort and I just don’t see this happening.
