The article says they extended the maximum flight range from 10k to 15k so… It’s still too short to really have a practical use in the majority of situations. The closest grocery store where I live is about 6 miles away. I couldn’t even go shopping with this flying car (well, I could go shopping I just wouldn’t be able to return home).
