    They would definitely be if the comment contained any personal information e.g. “As someone from Rome…”

    Edit: Actually even posting in certain subreddits like /r/italy could maybe be argued to be PII. Could writing style be considered PII? Maybe they could keep everything if they ask ChatGPT to reword it or something.

      “could be argued” is not nearly the same as “a court has decided.”

      Many people read these laws as they wish they would be enforced rather than as they have been.

      My post here is not “information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual”. Though it may fall under " Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person".

      I don’t know how or if the European courts have decided on this relating to posts people make on a social media site.
