I’m actually curious now. One would think that what Silent Hill went through–spending a decade in an odd limbo of technically being alive (Pachinko machines) but not really, with fans just waiting for signs of a pulse of an actual game until they all became extremely jaded to any and all news, leaks, and rumors (not to mention that now, we know there were various failed attempts at reviving Silent Hill before Konami restructured and started dipping thier hands in games again. Some were even dated months after Silent Hills got canned)–is the definition of horribly mistreated series.

IDK, I can’t imagine Titanfall having it worse, but if it did, I’m morbidly curious to know more

      • Silent Hill fans got quite a bit of games before Konami fell apart. Titanfall fans, ignoring Apex, got only two.

      • EA released the games on very bad periods so they performed poorly.

      • Titanfall has notoriously awful security, so much so that one hacker group completely destroyed the first game and mostly ruined the second. This YouTuber made a six part series going over the whole thing. That means…

      • Silent Hill fans can at least replay the old titles they know and love even if there is little hope of them getting high quality new releases again, meanwhile if you are someone who loves the original Titanfall you have no such luxury. And with 2 you are limited to the campaign.

      • Respawn and EA don’t seem willing to fix up the old games because they are just that broken multiplayer wise (which is all you have in the first game) and they care that little.

      • Original Titanfall was still on sale for quite a while, even though EA knew it was unplayable. This is no longer the case, further confirming that EA doesn’t give a shit about the title and thr dedicated fanbase that wants too keep it alive.

Damn, I thought it was gonna be a couple of examples, you actually kinda went in depth.

Question tho: if Titanfall and Apex share a universe, isn’t a potential Titanfall 3 just shelfed and not complely off the table (as unlikely as it is, since they struck Gold with Apex. IDK, recent years taught me never to say never in regards to games making a comeback)?

          cough cough Bubsy cough

It’s not impossible but very unlikely, just look at how long it took for Rockstar to just announce GTA VII. And this is at an era when video games are announced way too early. Also I am willing to bet money that when EA does revisit Titanfall, it will be in form of yet another damn remake. Most likely TF2, because original TF could be considered competition for Apex. Also more people remember TF2 than TF1.
