The City minister has said the UK is "committed to working closely" with the EU on financial services rules today amid fears that growing divergence between UK and EU regulators will increase the regulatory burden on City firms.
City firms can all go to hell and burn for eternity. They made the 2008 Great Recession, they encouraged Cambridge Analytica, they enriched Russian oligarchs, they keep funding fossil fuels industries, their execs keep polluting to sky-high levels, flying private jets and sailing private yachts.
Same schools that are crumbling down and hospitals with no nurses? Yeah, they pay some of it. But not too much, we wouldn’t want sleazy millionaires to miss their next trip to the Bahamas or the Cote d’Azur
