We had 3PA’s, we had all the free labor in the world, just from passionate people who wanted to share the things they love, we had bots to fight spam, and extremely talented developers who made your stupid website work on mobile. It all ran like clockwork, if you could have just shut your mouth we’d all be fine right now.

    i am beyond fucking sick of watching companies destroy beautiful sites and communities.

    so many losses just in the calendar fucking year!! zero fucking wins, no pitching, no bats, we just have to constantly regroup and move on, shedding our past lives

      Yeah man, at least the communities I love are pretty tech savvy (programming, web, open source, gaming), so it wasn’t much of a hassle to do the jump.

      But I just think of all those cool woodworking, cooking, music playing, history searching, drawing communities that just wanted to share something they loved, they will have it harder to accommodate to a new home and it breaks my heart.
