Everything I find on OpenShift is a long sales pitch that explains Docker and Kubernetes from zero to fill time, and then mentions in the last minute or two that OpenShift does some additional security checks and slight simplification of networking. The documentation looks like it’s just doing everything Kubernetes already does through an alias.

I’m wondering if this is one of those things where leadership is just sold the support package over a fancy dinner and everybody has to get used to wrapper technology nomenclature as a result.

Does anyone use OpenShift currently and know of some definitive advantages to doing so?
