As Fourth of July weekend approaches, thousands of flights have already been delayed or canceled due to severe weather and FAA staffing issues. NBC News’ Tom Costello has the latest updates on what travelers need to know.
I flew into LGA yesterday and apparently was one of the last flights, everything was grounded. Apparently there were some ATC issues in DC? or something, plus weather. I heard a girl yelling into the phone about how their next flight was wednesday and how that was unacceptable … rough time to work in an airline.
I have coworkers who were flying to Mexico City and got stuck in Houston. The air conditioner was out at IAH. That airport is so overcrowded and Houston is so hot. I was extremely thankful to not be on that trip.
